Artist Statement

Mixed media installation artist working mainly in ceramic media

Interconnections, similarities, differences, uniqueness, eccentricities, oddities, obsessions, idiosyncrasies of human beings. Life, death, secrets, family, previous generations, male/female interaction. I focus on a path and look for the links, differences and the unexpected influences. Art is my playground in which I explore life in its many colours. My explorations are strongly influenced by my own spiritual practice, my work in the field of alternative healing and my love of nature.

Each day I feel the fragility and vastness of my human existence:
Humbled like a grain of sand;
Vast like the ocean;
Alone only in my mind
And always connected in my soul
Desires pass by and in moments
I grasp the fleetingness of life
